Check out, "Road to Nowhere Raven Song", from my soon-to-be-released album "For the Birds".
I was always in choir, but truly began performing when I was 19. My first whisper of musical creativity was at age 10 when I wrote my very first song sitting in the back of the school bus.
I was leader of the band named Blaming Grace for about a decade. I paused my musical career to build a family with my wonderful husband Kevin and be the best mom I could to my children. During that time, I created a foodie empire named Arlington Foodies, it promotes and supports local restaurants and businesses. This helped us create 2 local farmers markets and a bi-weekly produce co-op.
I also took some time to develop a 1st season of a TV series named Shoe Chronicles. Those were copyrighted in 2021.
My day job since I graduated Cum Laude with a comm tech degree at UTArlington in 2007 is my web and graphic design company Oak Street Marketing. I also work full-time at Precision Press Printing and Graphics. Now that the children are grown, I have found my passion ignited again for music.
Music
I created DFW Music Network with hosts Daniel Katsűk and Charles Gaby which ran for about a year and a half at a few locations. The purpose of this event was to host a weekly Wednesday night live podcast supporting local music from around the metroplex and to establish a "listening room" with an active audience.
Today, I am working on a new solo album called "For the Birds", a concept album that invites you to take a walk in my garden with me, in my mind, as I journey through various discussions we might have in our day.
I perform harmonies and percussion regularly with Katsűk who's sound encompasses a World Folk Fusion Rock Reggae style. Here is a video taken in Medicine Park, OK, including Troy Williams.
I also recently recorded an album named "The Light Side of Botany" with Sound Suit, an Acoustic Americana Psychedelia band located in the heart of Arlington, Texas. Here is our video "Flowering Time", a song I wrote and video I produced with the help of the band.
I host a live stream every 4th Thursday in the red room at Gallery 900 with special guests each month. Find that stream on youtube by searching Savage Hurley.
I always strive to have a purpose in my music and want to share my message through my lyrics, the hero of my songs.
Here is a link to my next live stream:
You can catch me in a few other places, featured on a few songs with various musicians throughout the Metroplex either on recordings or a surprise guest for the evening. So keep your eyes open and watch my facebook feed to find out where I will be next.
In addition to performing Live with Katsuk, the album I created with Sound Suit and the Live Streams, I recently started doing song swaps around DFW with great artists such as Ben Wright, Bronson Louis, Court Hoang, West Meyers and Stephen Like.
I hope you enjoy my music and look forward to seeing you in person sometime soon.

Carnevale Mission
The Carnevale of Creatures is a live venetian, steam punk, masquerade variety charity event . The last Carnevale debuted in February of 2011 as a 4 hour event held at Sons of Hermann Hall in Deep Ellum, Texas. It hosted 50 performers for the evening.
Our mission was to bring awareness to a nonprofit charity named Love146.org. The charity works world wide to abolish child sex slavery through prevention and aftercare. The story follows as a journalist touring Thailand came upon a brothel where young girls were pinned a number on their shirt, dosed with heroin and sat in front of cartoons; and stared at through a glass window. Men would pick and choose these young girls as though they were on a menu and do whatever they wanted to them.
The children were being taken from small, poor villages where scouts would "claim" they were taking the children to work in a factory.
The name Love 146 comes from one girl who looked in to the eyes of the journalist who was determined to find and save her.
He finally did, he rehabilitated her and began building round safe houses so they girls would never be boxed in again. Once 146 was rehabilitated, she became a teacher for more young girls who would be purchased from the brothels, rehabilitated and protected in these safe houses.
Every time Spotify pays me for this album, a portion of the proceeds goes to Love146.org.
